An internship with a minimum duration of 3 months and a maximum duration of 6 months is provided. All PhD students with scholarships are required to do the internship abroad, while PhD students without scholarships may choose to do the internship exclusively in Italy. In both cases, the internship is carried out at Agreed Institutions or Research Centers for the purpose of deepening and broadening one's knowledge on the topics covered by the research interests in line with the educational objectives of the doctoral program. The amount of the scholarship is increased to the extent of 50 percent for the entire period of stay abroad.
The PhD student, in consultation with the mentor, plans the mobility period on the basis of a specific scientific motivation, and submits the proposal to the Coordinator using the appropriate form and approved by the Board of teachers. At the end of the mobility period, the doctoral student, upon returning to the home institution, completes and submits to the administration the appropriate form for reimbursement of expenses incurred on the mission.
